More about me

Design should do more than look good — it should actually work for the people using it. That’s what I aim for on every project.

Every project starts with talking to the people who’ll use the thing. Then UX, then interface, then the brand layer that makes it feel like someone. I run all of it myself, which means fewer hand-offs and no gap between the research and what ships.

I studied cognitive science before I studied design, which probably explains why I care more about how people actually think and feel than how a screen looks. Most of my client work ends up rooted in community somehow: health, culture, belonging. Probably because that’s where I spend my own time too: I lead the Canada & Internationals team at a Sri Lankan diaspora nonprofit, teach Zumba on the side, and write on Substack about identity, travel, and the occasional deep dive into neuroscience. I’ve also solo backpacked quite a bit to know that watching how strangers actually navigate a new place teaches you more about real human behavior than any research report will. Based in Toronto, usually somewhere between a client deck and a dance studio.
